Who was Donna Weber? (Donna's Kids)

PrintWho was Donna Weber?

Donna Weber was a recognized Honourary Life Member of Kitchener Minor Hockey, serving the association for over 35 years. Her accolades are many from being recognized locally within KMHA as Volunteer of the Year in 2003 to being the Guest of Honour for the City of Kitchener Mayors Dinner in 2009 along with her husband John. In 2002 the Weber's were also presented the Queen's Gold Medal Jubilee Award for service to country and community.

All of this aside, Donna's true love was that of caretaker of our Sponsored Children's Program. She was passionate about ensuring every child that desires to participate in hockey should play, regardless of their family's financial status.

Donna passed away on March 19, 2010 leaving a huge void in the KMHA. It is our intention to honour Donna by continuing her efforts as The Donna Weber Sponsored Children's program.

On this web site you will find opportunities. For those of you who need a little help to pay for their child to play hockey, you can register from this site. For those who love the game and are a little more fortunate, you can make a financial contribution online to support a child. Finally, to our corporate community leaders, you can help ensure that these efforts will continue in perpetuity by becoming a Corporate Sponsor for Donna's Kids.

Thank you for your interest in Donna's Kids where we believe ~ Every Kid Should Play!
